This was the First time I ate at this Restaurant. While not cheap the Food was great. The service was very good. The server was very friendly. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this Restaurant. Will definitely be back.
Visited this restaurant during a holiday sojourn with the extended family. We reserved a late evening dinner at the only restaurant at our hotel, Le Meridian. To say we were surprised was an understatement. Our waiter, Brennan, immediately arrived prompt and attentive. He didn't need to hype anything up. We ordered the Toro "Platter?" along with a few sides and it turned into one of the best food experiences we have all had. I will not say anything more. Go try it for yourself and you will not be disappointed.
Toro has been one of my top spots here in Broward ever since I stopped in the first time! Everything about this place is fantastic. The food, the drinks, the staff, not to mention the places is absolutely beautiful! I've tried so many different dishes here and everything has been phenomenal! They have a private room that has their tequila library which is a must see! All in all I definitely recommend checking them out! I know you will fall in love with it just as I did!
Toro Kitchen delivers an exceptional dining experience! I sat at the tequila library, which is a must-try spot. The tequila tastings were a highlight, and the bartender created some of the most unique and creative cocktails I've ever had--right on the fly! Every dish was spot-on: the meat board was well-curated, the fried shrimp were perfectly crisp, and the corn empanadas were packed with flavor. The sushi was surprisingly some of the most delicious I've had. The manager and the tequila bartender went above and beyond, making sure every part of the experience was top-notch. If you're looking for great food, drinks, and a memorable time, Toro Kitchen is definitely the place to be! Restaurant and vibe were great.
We visited Toro Latin Kitchen 2 weeks ago during Happy Hour to celebrate our anniversary and we had a fantastic time . We sat at the bar and the staff was excellent. Very kind and helpful with suggestions . My husband ordered the Flight of Tequila and Mari Carmen I think was our bartender's name , she made sure to let my husband know to sip his tequila and not down it like a shot LOL. Very good that she was keeping an eye out so that he savored it correctly. They have quite a nice selection of Tequila's and the Manager explained the differences and qualities of Tequilas . I had their version of An Old Fashion with tequila and I ventured on with El Pepino cock-tail which was very refreshing. The food was tasty and our favorite was the corn empanadas OMG sooo good . Swordfish dip was just ok and portion was rather small. The Calamari was yummy the beef anticuchos was tasty also. The grilled octopus was good , but needed something a little extra , not sure what, but I enjoyed it anyhow . Some other guests were eating these giant prawns that looked amazing so when we come back we will try those . The ambiance and decor was very classy and looked trendy. We really enjoyed our meal , the drinks and the service , so we will be back with friends .
I've driven past the Meridien hotel countless times, and never knew Toro restaurant was located there. Our friends brought us to this spot and we loved the cuisine! Everything was fresh and flavorful. The ambience is rustic-luxe with beautiful furnishings and tequila on display. We enjoyed the grilled octopus, ceviche nikkei, and calamari. Everything was presented in a vibrant and sophisticated manner. The octopus was tender and smokey with incredible sauces. The ceviche was refreshing and intricate. The calamari was crispy and spicy. Highly recommend this great Latin restaurant!!!
I came here for a birthday party and tequila tasting, and it went so well that I brought a work group back for dinner and tequila tasting. The tequila tasting was very cool - great to hear about and taste real QUALITY tequilas. Met the manager when I brought in my work group and he was awesome. Super willing to treat my event with the best service! The attendees really enjoyed it. Food was delicious with a nice presentation. Will be back again! LOMO SALTADO and CEVICHE pictured here.
Stopped in for the happy hour menu on a weekend. Wasn't too busy so we sat down at the bar pretty quick. Overall I really liked everything but the happy hour margaritas were not my favorite at all.
This was the best meal I've had in a long time! Used Yelp's "Hot and New" search some time ago to find a dinner spot and when I say it was spot on?!! Whew! Was caught off-guard by the location - it's at the base of a nice hotel I had no idea existed. Parking is thankfully free with validation. We went just before 7pm on a Thursday evening without a reservation and had our choice of the tequila room or the open dining room. We opted for the open dining room since only mezcal-based cocktails are served in the tequila room. I'd go back to sit in the tequila room because it feels like a comfortable, nicely decorated sitting room. If I smoked cigars, I imagine that room would be an inspiration to pull one out. The open dining room is very large. The tables were spread out, which was nice for privacy. Seating was comfortable as well. We were hungry and excited to try several items from the menu. My dining companion asked the waiter what was popular both for the drinks and food. We were definitely influenced by his suggestions, especially the Lomo Saltado. I have had and am not the biggest fan of the dish but his explanation made me curious. Glad we listened because it was superb. It is basically a deconstructed version which is more like steak and mashed Potatoes. The meat was uber tender and flavorful, the potatoes were divine and the roasted tomatoes and sauce complemented the dish perfectly. Outstanding. The other more traditional items we ordered - Pura Vida, Grilled Avocado - were delicious as well. Nkt to be outdone, I had the Mercado cocktail. That foam?!?! The foam could be a menu item on its own. The drink as a whole was exceptional. My dining mate's cocktail was delicious as well. The cocktail menu is well thought out and again, more than mezcal is served in the dining area. We capped the meal off with Churros which were very good with an unbelievably rich caramel sauce. Overall, an unexpectedly great meal. Looking forward to returning soon to enjoy the experience and the mezcal room.
I went here to celebrate a birthday and check this place off my list of restaurants to visit. Valet and self-service parking is available with validation. I love their massive wooden door entryway. The interior is dimly lit and has an intimate feel to it. Spacious. We went to an early dinner and were promptly seated. Our server Abanoub was very friendly and attentive. To start I ordered their Smoked swordfish dip which was delicious and the Mercado cocktail minus the tanteo habanero tequila. For my entree I ordered their Cusco Free Range Chicken, large portion and so darn good. My dad ordered their Pork Chop with the Potatoes Three Ways. He loved every bit of his meal. Since it was his birthday I ordered their Tres Leches and asked for it to come out with a candle. Happy hour is only at the bar. And there was an automatic 18% service charge added. Overall I had a great experience and would return for happy hour.
